George Congleton
Vice President

In 1962, George L. Congleton graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Trade. In 1964, Mr. Congleton began his employment with Baker Commodities Inc. and continued until his retirement in 2007. In 1976, he became Vice President of Marketing. During his 43 years of service, he expanded the company’s sales to more than 38 countries on 4 continents and helped develop Baker Commodities into one of the premier companies in the U.S. rendering industry.


Mr. Congleton has been a member of the board of directors of the National Institute of Oilseed Products, the American Fats and Oils Association and Vice Chairman of the National Renderers Association International Market Development Committee. Mr. Congleton has been involved with Goshen Motorsports since it inception in 1999. Along with his many years of leadership and management experience he brings an understanding of organizational structure, management concepts and principals that are the keys to success for a corporation, as well as, a race team. In addition to his management role, Mr. Congleton is responsible for data acquisition for the team on test days and race weekends. He has also written numerous articles regarding the Goshen Motorsports Team and on behalf of the Formula TR Pro Series, which have been published in national race magazines. His continued involvement is helping Goshen Motorsports become one of the elite teams in automotive racing. When not concentrating on Goshen Motorsports, Mr. Congleton spends time with his wife, 5 children and 13 grandchildren. Between races, he snow skis in the winter and water skis in the summer.
