GOSHEN MOTORSPORTS ENTERS THE 2008 STAR MAZDA CHAMPIONSHIP

Goshen Motorsports (Placentia, Ca) Is pleased to announce their entrance into the highly competitive 2008 Star Mazda Championship. Piloting the #82 car for Goshen Motorsports will be Billy Goshen (Brea, Ca). Goshen Motorsports and Billy Goshen just completed their 2007 Formula TR Pro Series season by capturing the coveted 2.0 Liter title previously held by future racing stars Marco Andretti, Michael McDowell and Colin Braun.  In preparation for the 2008 Star Mazda Series, Goshen piloted the #70 car under the direction of Hearn Motorsports in the West Coast Star Mazda Winter Series.  By capturing one 1st place finish 2 seconds, 2 third place finishes and 1 pole, Billy showed great potential to compete in the 2008 Star Mazda Series presented by Goodyear.

Considered one of the top up and coming open wheel drivers, the 17 year old Goshen began racing at the age of 9. After winning over 60 races and 8 different championships, including 3 National championships in Karting, and stepping up into the USA Formula TR Pro Series for 2006 and 07’ Billy is ready for the challenge.  "I am looking forward to competing in the Star Mazda Championship, (Says Goshen) Driving against the best up and coming drivers in North America, and from around the world is a great opportunity for me to challenge my abilities, sharpen my driving skills, and concentrate on my career.”  Currently, Billy is rigorously training, and testing his new car for the 2008 Star Mazda Season.
